A note from Brenda · Grand Prairie, TX

"The business owners who need a lawyer most are usually the last ones who think they can afford one. I built my practice around that gap."

Twenty-five years giving small businesses the legal backbone of much larger ones.

Since December 2000 I've helped Texas owners put real legal protection, group benefits and identity defense in place. For less than the cost of one billable hour a month.

  1. You need a lawyer you can actually call. Not just the idea of one.
  2. You can't afford a retainer andyou shouldn't have to.
  3. The gap between those two things is exactly where I work.

About Brenda

From systems analyst to legal advocate.

Before LegalShield became my life's work, I spent more than a decade in business intelligence and software. Building reporting systems at GM Financial, analyzing operations for Memphis and Shelby County school districts and working in software development at Concentra.

That background still shapes how I work with owners. I help operators see the risks that aren't obvious until they matter, and I've done that for the same clients, in the same community, for twenty-five years.

Today my practice is built around small business owners across DFW and beyond, the people who carry the most risk and have the least margin for surprise.

Real Scenarios

Where a small-business plan earns its keep.

These are the calls I get. Each one is a situation a LegalShield plan is built to handle. No billable-hour anxiety.

01
Friday · 4:47 pm

A vendor sends a contract that needs to be signed Monday.

An attorney reviews it. You go into Monday knowing what you're agreeing to,and what to negotiate.

I've handled this exact call more times than I can count. Usually Friday afternoon. Always urgent.

A customer disputes

They're threatening legal action over a $4,200 invoice.

A letter from the law firm,on letterhead, changes the conversation faster than another email from you ever will.

Law firm letterhead does what three emails from you couldn't. Every time.

02
03
An employee separates

The paperwork has to be right or you have a problem.

Walk through the documentation with an attorney before, not after. Sleep through the night.

Before, not after. That's the only version of this story that ends well.

The IRS sends a letter

It uses words like "examination" and gives you thirty days.

IRS audit defense is built into the plan. Don't face it alone and don't pay a CPA hourly to translate it.

This one is already covered. You call me, I get the attorneys on it. That's it.

04
05
Your identity is breached

Your personal credit is collateral on the business line.

IDShield investigators do the restoration work. You stay focused on running the operation.

Investigators, not a chatbot, not a help desk. Real people doing the work for you.

A 1099 won't pay

They've ghosted you on a $9,000 invoice.

Debt-collection letters from a law firm are remarkably persuasive. Step one is free under the plan.

Remarkably persuasive. I've seen it work when nothing else would.

Real owners. Real situations.

Called Brenda on a Friday afternoon, vendor contract needed signatures by Monday. By Saturday morning her attorney had flagged two clauses and given me talking points. I walked into that meeting confident.

I was skeptical a monthly plan could replace having an attorney on retainer. A year in, I've used it four times. The IRS letter alone paid for five years of membership.

Brenda picks up the phone. That sounds basic until you've spent forty-five minutes in a phone tree with an insurance company.

P
Priya N. Boutique owner · Irving

The group benefit for my employees was the part I didn't expect to care about. Three of my people have used it for personal matters, wills, a landlord dispute. They tell me it's why they stay.

D
David R. HVAC contractor · Mansfield

I've owned my salon for twelve years. I didn't know I needed legal protection until I had an employee situation that could have cost me everything. Brenda walked me through it at 7pm on a Tuesday.

A 1099 ghosted me on $11,000. The letter from the law firm got a response in six days. Six days.

i.

Provider law firms in every state

Plans are backed by experienced firms selected and paid by LegalShield. You don't pay them by the hour. That's the entire point.

ii.

Backed by PPLSI, founded 1972

Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc. has been building affordable legal access for over fifty years. The infrastructure is mature, the model is proven.

iii.

Group plans at zero employer cost

Add a voluntary benefit your team actually uses. Set it up once; payroll deduction handles the rest. Nothing comes out of your operating budget.

iv.

One advisor, not a call center

I work directly with every client, sizing the right plan, walking through what's covered andbeing a real point of contact when something happens.

I've been the advisor I wish had existed when I started out. That's still what keeps me at this after twenty-five years.

Get in touch

Fifteen minutes. No pressure.

Tell me a little about your operation and I'll show you the plan that fits,or tell you honestly if there isn't one.

Brenda

I answer my own phone. No gatekeeping, no automated system, no assistant.

P.S. Even if you're not sure yet, call anyway. That's exactly what the fifteen minutes are for.
